In many cases it is possible to create short-term relief by reducing neural activity; sometimes this relief can last a few hours or days even. The recordings and exercises detailed in Parts 2 & 3 will explain this and guide you through processes designed to help you experience it for yourself.
When tinnitus starts, many people are drawn inwards and feel trapped by the sound. In parts 4 & 5 we will take you through exercises that can teach your mind to start thinking and focusing in a new direction, away from the sound. Evidence suggests this is a vital ingredient in the process of ‘habituation’.
Your body is a self-healing, self-regenerating organism but it needs to be allowed to do so. Resolving unconscious emotional issues can often lead to a dramatic recovery from many illnesses. In parts 6 & 7 we will explain this in more detail in relation to your tinnitus and take you through a fully-guided exercise to help begin this process for you.
The neurons of your brain are changeable and adaptable (scientifically called Neuro Plasticity) and research has shown that it is actually possible to consciously influence this process. In part 8 we will explain this in more detail and take you through an exercise designed to help stimulate this process for you.
This section provides a fully guided Holophonic exercise to help retrain your hearing to focus on the external sounds around you, which is what happens when you are naturally free of your Tinnitus. As you practice doing this in a guided way with the recordings, you will then find it easier to do this naturally and automatically as you go about your daily life. This is an enhanced form of Tinnitus Retraining Therapy.
In part 10 you will learn to combine and consolidate all the previous exercises into a single, powerful process that can be used whenever you have time to spare or at night as you go to sleep. Even if your sound is still there at times, you will learn it is entirely possible to feel calm, free and able to get on with your life.
The whole process can take varying amounts of time for you to respond and feel the change. Some people will notice a benefit almost immediately, for others it will be a steadily cumulative process. Here are two extra recordings. The first encourages rapid relaxation followed by Holophonic sounds, designed to massage the neurons of your brain to help you relax more deeply or get to sleep.
This next is my own enhanced version of those ‘white noise’ CDs, recorded holophonically i.e. exactly as the human ear hears : no other process does this.
Although lovely as background, you will get the best effect via headphones. You will not only hear the sounds of the ocean or a babbling stream, you will feel as if you are there too. You will get the feeling of calmness and regeneration that these forces of nature automatically stimulate in you.
Holophonic sounds are used throughout the previous recordings and exercises, constantly stimulating and massaging the neurons of your hearing system and brain. You will find they have an extremely pleasant effect on how you feel.
